My Favorite Drugstore Lipsticks!

(From left to right)

Warm Me Up - Maybelline ($5)
This is definitely my most worn lipstick out of the four just because its a very neutral everyday color. It matches my natural lip color almost perfectly, that's probably why I love it so much because it looks like my real lip color but better :) If I were to describe the color, I'd say it's a mauvey-pink with a slight shimmer to it. It’s smooth, easy to apply, and wears well for a solid three to four hours.

Sheer Linen - L'oreal Caresse ($7)
This lipstick is the perfect nude. I've tried other drugstore nude lipsticks and they always seem to be too brown or too pale to the point where it just washes me out. What I also love about this lipstick is that it has a nice glossy sheen to it so you don't have to apply lip gloss over it. Sheer Linen is a sheer nude that can be built up for a more opaque coverage. Caresse lipsticks glide smoothly on the lips and feel feather light. Since it does have a balm like consistency, these wear for only about two hours.

Vivid Rose - Maybelline ($5)
This lipstick is the newest of the four from the Vivid's Collection. I'm not too sure when that collection released because I haven't seen it in too many stores. I bought this lipstick to wear during New Years as my night out lipstick. The pigmentation of this lipstick is amazing, I'd say it's a rich pink/magenta color. What I love the most about this lipstick is that it isn't glittery, most pink lipsticks that I find always have a shimmery lust to it and ends up looking chromy. Like the other maybelline lipstick, it wears for about 4 hours.

Hot Passion - Covergirl Lip Perfection ($6)
Last but not least, Hot Passion! This is definitely the most bold lipstick that I own. Being a Taylor Swift fan, I had to buy it because it was her favorite. This lipstick was super hard to find and now I can see why. The pigmentation of this lipstick is incredibly amazing, I'd definitely say it's a true red. It's one of the - if not the best lipstick formulas I've used from the drugstore. It's very creamy and opaque, with magnificent lasting power. After 6+ hours, it's still there and leaves a nice reddened pink stain behind.

Victoria's Secret Face Prime Make-up Primer & Setting Spray

If you guys didn't already know, I have combination/oily skin so making my make-up last all day is pretty impossible without touching up throughout the day. I've tried UD's de-slick multiple times and I really liked it. The only problem with De-slick is that it's on the pricey side =/ I had a secret rewards card from VS that had $10 on it so I thought I'd use it to test out this primer since it got such great reviews on MUA. For only having to pay 2 bucks, I couldn't pass up on this product!

Victoria's Secret Face Prime ($12)

I've been using this product on and off for the past few weeks using different techniques. After testing out the different ways to use it, I found that it works best for me as a primer rather than a setting spray. Whenever I would spray my face after applying make-up, it left my face feeling kinda sticky w/ a dewy finish. As a primer, it worked great for me, it kept my make-up looking  flawless for about 8 hours :) I would only need to use about 3 pumps of spray (concentrating around the t-zone) I would definitely re-purchase, especially since it's super cheap!

UPDATE: Okay guys, I finally figured out an even better application method! I found that this method made my make-up last even longer without looking dewy!

1. Prime your face by spraying it evenly before applying any foundation
2. Once the spray is completely dry, you can apply your liquid foundation & concealer
3. Spray your face evenly again to set your foundation & concealer
4. After its completely dry, apply a translucent powder lightly all over face (this step prevents the face from looking oily & cakey)

Revlon Nearly Naked & Covergirl Mascara Review!

Now that I've finally ran out of mascara and foundation, I decided to go to Walmart to get new stuff since I don't typically like buying products without finishing them first.

Luckily for me, I got a coupon in my Cosmo magazine this month for $4 off for Covergirl so I decided to try out 2 fairly new mascara's. The first mascara that I tried out was the Lashblast Clump Crusher ($7), which is in the bright lime green packaging. The formulation is very similar to the original lash blast but the one thing that's different is the curved brush. I actually really like the curved brush because it helps my lashes curl better. This isn't the most voluminous mascara that I've ever used but I do certainly like the amount of volume and length that this mascara gives. I definitely like it a lot better than the original. When using this mascara, my lashes weren't clumpy nor flaky. Last but not least, it wasn't difficult to take off.

The second mascara that I tried was the Lastblast 24 Hour ($7) mascara. I didn't see any difference between this and the original lash blast. The only thing that sets them apart was that the 24 hour mascara stayed on better. I wasn't too fond of this mascara. The thing I couldn't stand the most about this mascara is that it's super hard to take off. They weren't joking about it being able to last all day...

The next few products that I bought are from the new Nearly Naked collection from Revlon.

Revlon Nearly Naked Liquid Foundation
in the shade 230 Nutmeg ($7)

This foundation has a light coverage with a dewy finish. That being said, it did leave my face feeling a little greasy once applied. Since I do have combination/oily skin, this foundation wasn't really for me. It stayed on for about 5 hours, then it started to fade as the day went on. I think this foundation would be perfect for someone with normal/dry skin that would like a very natural coverage. One really good benefit to this foundation is that is has a wide range of color selection so if you're having trouble finding foundations that match your skin tone, you should go check out this collection!

Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder Foundation in the shade 040 Medium/Deep ($7)

I actually really liked this pressed powder because it didn't leave my face looking cakey like other pressed powders usually do. It has a light/medium coverage with a very natural finish. What I love about this powder so much is that it's very buildable. No matter how many times I re-apply, it will still look very natural. The only con about this product is that unlike the liquid foundation, the powders from this line don't have that big of a color selection. I was lucky enough to be a perfect match to the darkest shade of the collection.

Overall, I think the collection lives up to what they said it'd be. It was very "light and melts right in."
