L'Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation, Powder, and Setting Spray

Soooo let's start off with the foundation! According to the L'Oreal website, it claims: "A matte finish that won’t fall flat with this air-light, longwearing liquid formula. Lightweight and creamy, foundation goes on smooth with a demi-matte finish that lasts up to 24 hours—hiding imperfections for a smooth, clear complexion. "

Before I get onto the review, I should start by saying that I have oily skin so if you have a different skin type or whatever, the results may not always be the same for every person so make sure you keep that in mind!

As crazy as this sounds, I honestly love EVERYTHING about this foundation. I definitely agree with most of what the foundation claims except for the part about lasting for 24 hours because I simply just don't want to wear this foundation for 24 hours straight buuuut I can say that it did last a good 12 hours, which is still pretty long on my oily skin with no touch-ups. After wearing the foundation for about 7 hours, I started to get pretty oily around my t-zone (which doesn't surprise me lol) but everywhere else on my face still looked pretty decent. My face didn't stay completely matte all day but I didn't look like a disco ball either... I kind of ended up with a soft dewy finish once the day was over. For some reason you can't really tell that I'm oily when you look at the last 2 photos and I think it's because I'm still messing around with my new camera.

Pros:
  • good coverage (med to full)
  • nice demi-matte finish
  • lightweight/comfortable
  • easy to blend
Cons:
  • kind of pricey for the drugstore
  • limited shade selection

As for the powder, it works really well for setting the matching foundation and even looks good on it's own. When I applied the powder over my foundation, it just gave my face a gorgeous matte finish. It claims to reduce shine for up to 16 hours which I don't really agree with because I still got shiny around my t-zone and that's partially because of my oily skin so maybe if you have dry/combo skin, it might last even longer. I think the powder has a nice medium coverage without looking cakey & does an amazing job with keeping skin looking shine-free and I would definitely re-purchase!

The setting spray was definitely the product that I was most excited for because it's probably one of the first setting spray's that's been released at the drugstore for a decent price and OMG. I AM DANGEROUSLY IN LOVE WITH THIS SETTING SPRAY. The spray nozzle gives a nice even mist that doesn't leave your skin feeling sticky and keeps your makeup looking flawless all day.

Foundation: Fresh Beige 107 ($11.88)
Powder: Sun Beige 500 (11.88)
Setting Spray: ($13.99)

ItsJudyTime Palette Review & Swatches!

Last winter, one of my favorite Youtubers came out with her own custom made palette through BH Cosmetics and I've finaaaally bought one for myself. I've been watching Judy’s makeup channel and daily vlogs for over a year now and have fallen in love with her and her family. If you guys don't know who Judy is, she is an amaaazing "beauty guru," just go to YouTube and type: ItsJudyTime OR ItsJudysLife and watch her videos, I'm 100% positive that you will love her as much as I do!

ItsJudyTime Palette ($20)

The ItsJudyTime palette includes 12 eyeshadows that can be worn day or night. There are 3 finishes: satin, shimmer and matte. Most of the shadows are neutral shades with the exception of 2 purples and 1 navy blue shade. Overall, the quality of these eyeshadows are good :) After playing around with these shadows, I found that the satin & shimmer eyeshadows actually show up better when applied w/ a damp flat shader brush. Also, the darker the shadow, the more pigmented it is.

Pros:
  • Good shade selection
  • Most of the shades are pretty pigmented
  • Easy to blend
  • Sleek packaging
  • Stays on all day
  • Affordable

Cons:
  • Matte shades are a little chalky
  • Some shades aren't true to color

Top Row

Top row from left:
  • A matte, light peachy/beige (perfect for highlighting)
  • A warm, matte sable-brown
  • A shimmery golden-brown
  • A pink-toned, medium matte brown
  • A deep, cocoa matte brown
  • A shimmery dark brown w/ gold flecks

Bottom Row
Bottom row from left:
  • A shimmery "copper penny"
  • A shimmery brown
  • A matte, dark brownish-black base w/ sparkly dark purple & gold flecks
  • A shimmery, medium cool-toned purple
  • A satin periwinkle
  • A dark, navy blue matte base w/ royal blue sparkles

I bought mine during a 2 for $20 sale which was awesome because it was basically BOGO free :) This palette is currently 25% off right now on the BH cosmetics website sooo if you're thinking about buying this palette, I would get it asap because I believe this palette is limited edition!

MK Glam VoxBox Review!

Hey guys!
As a part of the beauty blog community, I had the opportunity to try out a few products that were sent to me from Influenster :) Since they were so gracious enough to send me these items with no charge, I was asked to review these products for you guys & let you know how if I liked them or not!

The VoxBox this month was sponsored by Mary Kay, which is a beauty brand sold through Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants. I've never tried anything from Mary Kay before so it was exciting to try these products out :)

The picture to the left is featuring myself wearing everything that came in the MK VoxBox!

Top 5 Under $5 :)

 1. Wet N Wild Color Icon Blush
These are the best and most affordable drugstore blushes that I've ever bought in my entire life! I have payed over $10 for other drugstore blushes that don't even compare to these $3 blushes. The color icon blushes are very, very, very, pigmented! I've seriously had these blushes for almost 3 years now because you barely have to tap your brush in to get the product. Mellow Wine is my fav :)

2. Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer

These lipglosses are just so so so amazing. They're opaque, non-sticky, long-lasting, and vibrant. It almost acts as a lipstick, but in gloss form. Idk... these are just really cool haha.

3. Essence Super Fine Liquid Liner
I'm suuuper picky when it comes to liquid eyeliner. After using the Dolly Wink liquid eyeliner, nothing seems to ever compare unless you want to spend $20... I've finally found one that I love and its only $3! What I love so much about this eyeliner is the applicator. Most drugstore liquid eyeliners have thick, messy applicators that drive me crazy, but this one is perfection.

4. Herbal Essence Dry Shampoo Body Envy
First of all.... this stuff smells AMAZING! I typically wash my hair every 2-3 days and since my scalp tends to get oily easily, this stuff makes my hair look & smell fresh like
freshly peeled oranges :)

5. Aussie 3 Minute
Miracle Strong
I like to deep condition my hair once a week and this one has never let me down. I've been using this stuff since middle school haha. For only 3 bucks, it's a nice treatment for your hair.

NYX Butter Lipsticks Review!

I love butter and I love lippies so why not have the best of both worlds?! LOL just kidding...  I really wanted to try these out because I loved the NYX Extra Creamy Round Lipsticks so much that I figured these would be just as amazing.  Surely enough, they exceeded my expectations :) I find that the butter ones are actually more moisturizing and lightweight than the extra creamy lipsticks. They're just super creamy and velvety smooth on the lips to the point where it doesn't even feel like you're wearing a lipstick, which I love because my lips tend to chap easily but I didn't have that problem with these. According to other blogger reviews, a lot of people mentioned that the lighter shades didn't seem to be as pigmented as the darker shades so keep that in mind if you're considering buying these! The original price for these lipsticks are $6 but I payed $4.50 for each lipstick because I got a 25% discount! So if you want to save some extra bucks, just simply make an account with NYX Cosmetics and you can receive 25% off your entire purchase!

Licorice: deep burgundy

Sweet Tart: deep pink w/ blue undertones

Mary Janes: true red

DUPE for Sigma Beauty Sigmax Kabuki Kit!

If you're looking for some HQ makeup brushes but don't want to spend a lot, you should try out these kabuki brushes! Just because a beauty product isn't "high end," it doesn't necessarily mean that it won't work just as well. I bought these brushes last summer but I didn't start using them until recently and they've made a huge difference to my make-up routine! I bought them on Amazon for $15 from Royal Care Cosmetics. They're super soft, dense, doesn't shed and blends like a dream :) What's also amazing about Royal Care Cosmetics is that they have awesome customer service! They shipped my package the day after I placed my order & I received the brushes within 2 days! So if you're impatient like me, I'm pretty sure they'll exceed your expectations :)

Includes:
  • Flat Kabuki - liquid foundation
  • Rounded Kabuki - powder
  • Angled Kabuki - blush
  • Tapered Kabuki - contour/highlight

Coastal Scents Forever Blush Review!

If you're a blush addict like me or just looking for a new blush to try out, you NEED to go onto the Coastal Scents website and order these blushes right now! These blushes are just so so so amazing! I wish I could own all 18 shades LOL. I randomly stumbled upon them as I was online shopping and was really curious because I had barely seen/heard any reviews from the beauty community about this product. They're insanely pigmented which can be a good and bad thing...  I'd definitely recommend using a very light hand because you can always build up the color versus applying too much and looking like a clown. These blushes are easy to blend so if you do happen to apply too much like I did the first time; don't worry, they're not hard to work with. To avoid applying too much product onto the cheeks, I would swipe the blush onto the top of my hand once before applying it to my cheeks.  I think these blushes are super affordable for the quality you get out of them. Since you don't need to use a lot of the product, they will last you a very long time! The original price for these blushes are $7.95 each but I payed $5.95 for each blush because I got a 25% discount! So if you want to save some extra bucks, just simply make an account with Coastal Scents and you can get discounts and earn points with every order :)

Exquisite

Exquisite: Deep berry shade w/ a matte finish. This is the darkest blush out of all of the ones I bought but is still definitely just as wearable. In the pan it looks really intimidating, but once you blend it out, it looks amazing.

Lovely

Lovely: Deep coral shade w/ a shimmer finish. This blush would be perfect for the spring and summer!

Royal

Royal: Mauvey-pink shade w/ a matte finish that looks really natural on the cheeks. Royal would be a perfect everyday blush!

Sweet

Sweet: Medium pink shade w/ a satin finish.
This the most subtle shade out of the four. I think Sweet would be suitable for all skin tones because it's not too dark nor too light!
